The Troup County Code Enforcement Division is responsible for enforcing all Georgia State and Troup County codes and ordinances, including environmental issues, sanitation problems, licenses, permits, public nuisances, illegal signs, unsafe buildings, investigates complaints of illegal dumping, littering, inoperative or junk vehicles, animal control, and other activities related to law enforcement.
Code Enforcement operates out of multiple departments, including the Marshal's Office (animal control), the Fire Marshal Division (burn permits and illegal burning), and the Building Division of the Building, Planning, and Zoning Department.
