Requirements:

Be qualified to serve as a Grand Juror — Resident of Troup County, over age of 18 years, not been convicted of a felony, mentally and physically competent. Owner of real property located in the County. High School graduate. Competent and compellable to serve as a member or alternate member. No member of the governing authority of the county — independent board of education — member of tax assessors —tax appraiser etc.
Within first year after appointment each member shall satisfactorily complete not less than 40 hours of instruction. This training is not available online and will be set at close locations. Then annually complete 8 hours continuing education, which is available online. Each member shall be appointed for a term of three years succeeding the date of such member or alternate member's selection. Terms being on January 1. One member and one alternate shall be appointed for terms of one year, one member and one alternate shall be appointed for two years, and
one member and one alternate shall be appointed for three years.

The Board shall hear and determine appeals from assessments and denials of homestead exemptions.
COMPENSATION
$50.00 PER DAY.
$50.00 per day, mileage, expenses when in attendance of courses (40 hour course and 8 hour course available on line - $50.00 per day)

To determine the health needs and resources of its jurisdiction, develop programs and activities, collect and evaluate data from the community. Compliance with rules and regulations of the department and to enforce or cause enforcement of health laws, unless the responsibility for the enforcement of such laws is that of another agency.

The Development Authorities Law, codified in O.C.G.A. Title 36, Chapter 62 as it now exists and as it may be hereafter amended, and all powers necessary or convenient to carry out and effectuate its purposes and the provisions of this resolution (2013-29)

Purpose:

To develop and promote trade, commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good and the general welfare and to promote the general welfare of the State by and through the development and provision of the infrastructure necessary to provide Broadband internet access to the persons, businesses and industries in and of the participating counties and municipalities.

Requirements:

5 members appointed as follows: Heard BOC 1, Meriwether BOC1 Troup BOC 1, Upson BOC 1, 1 taxpayer residing in a participating county or municipality by joint appointment of current participating counties & municipalities. All members must be residents of their appointing jurisdictions except for the jointly appointed member who may be resident of any participating county or municipality. All members shall be at least twenty-five years of age and eligible for reappointment.

Purpose:

The purpose of the CEOO board for our workforce region is to provide general oversight for the Three Rivers Workforce Development Board (TRWDB), and to ensure that it remains eligible to receive approximately $4.5 million dollars of workforce training funds each year. Federal law designates the county commission chairman, and one (1) mayor per county to serve on the local CEOO board. There are 20 elected officials for the TRRC region’s CEOO board. The CEOO’s only meet once per calendar year, and there is a CEOO executive committee that approves business items between the annual CEOO meetings.

Requirements:

• Chairman of the BOC.
• Appointment of members of the Local Workforce Development Board
• Local grant recipient for funds allocated to the local area
• Submission of the local plan
• Approval of the designation and certification of one-stop operators (Area
Dept. of Labor offices)
• Coordinate Memorandum of Understanding with one-stop partners
• Oversight of the one-stop delivery system
• Approval and oversight of the Local Workforce Development Board Budget
