The Troup County Finance Department is committed to responsible financial stewardship through transparency, accountability, and sound fiscal management. The department oversees Accounting, Budgeting, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Debt Administration, Payroll, and Grant Management while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Troup County operates on a fiscal year beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
The department supports County operations through budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, procurement, capital project and grant oversight, and other essential financial services that safeguard public resources and promote informed decision-making.
Troup County has proudly earned the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting annually since 2004, reflecting the County's longstanding commitment to financial excellence.
