The Community Development Department supports enforcement of building codes, administration of county zoning ordinances, and overall county planning. The department oversees zoning, building, and planning functions, represents Troup County on economic development matters, and provides input to the Public Facilities Authority.
The department’s mission is to provide quality building, zoning, permitting, planning, and development services through best practices and excellent customer service, promoting the success of Troup County’s residents, businesses, and visitors.
