Troup County’s Building Department issues permits for new residential and commercial construction, renovations, accessory structures, telecommunication towers, swimming pools, driveways, and required erosion and sediment control plans. It also conducts inspections to ensure buildings are properly constructed and maintained, enforcing State of Georgia Standard Building Codes enacted by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
