Troup Transit

Troup Transit is a supportive program offered by Troup County Parks and Recreation which provides an accessible method of transportation for essential needs of the citizens of Troup County. The program gives priority to elderly adults and those with disabilities. The program gives priority to elderly adults and those with disabilities. Troup County Transit provides curb-to-curb service as a shared ride system so availability is first come, first serve.

Accessible Service

Wheelchair-accessible service is available. When you call to schedule your trip, please let us know of any assistance you may need in boarding or disembarking from the vehicle. For the safety of all passengers, our policy requires that wheelchairs be secured to the vehicle.

Persons using respirators or portable oxygen are permitted. Service animals accompanying individuals with disabilities are permitted. Personal care attendants accompanying persons with disabilities (ADA) are permitted free of charge.

Troup Transit will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, or procedures when the modifications are necessary to avoid discrimination on the basis of disability or to provide program accessibility to its services, subject to the limitations of Federal Regulations 37.169(c)(1)-(3). Individuals requesting modifications to Troup Transit’s service shall contact the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator and describe what they need in order to use the service. Individuals requesting modifications are not required to use the term “reasonable modification” when making a request.
